TIFFANY MANGULABNAN

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Tiffany Mangulabnan studied classical ballet at the Philippine Ballet Theatre Conservatoire, and trained briefly in both classical and modern ballet at Ballet Philippines' CCP Dance School and at Alonzo King's LINES Ballet in San Francisco.

Tiffany danced professionally with the Philippine Ballet Theatre for several years. First as a member of the corps de ballet and then as a soloist, from 2001-2006, she performed in Balanchine's 'Serenade'; Petipa's 'Don Quixote', 'Swan Lake', and 'La Bayadere'; Thomas Pazik's 'Romeo and Juliet'; Graham Lustig's 'Madame Butterfly'; in 'Merry Widow', 'Cinderella', 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame', Gener Caringal's 'Vinta', Tony Fabella's 'Fiesta' and in several other neoclassical ballets by contemporary Filipino choreographers.

Early in her professional career Tiffany also worked closely with San Francisco-based Filipino choreographer Enrico Labayen, by whom she was indelibly molded as an artist, and performed in a number of his ballets, including 'Vivaldi Sketches', 'Dalagang Bukid', and the Isadora Duncan Award-winning 'Piurt a Beaul', which she also helped re-stage for the Philippine Ballet Theatre in 2005.

She made her debut as a principal dancer with the Philippine Ballet Theatre in 2010 when she took on the dual role of Odette/Odile in 'Swan Lake'. From 2010-2012 she continued to perform as Paquita in the Paquita Grand Pas Classique, the Dew Drop Fairy in 'The Nutcracker', Death in David Campos-Conteros' 'Carmina Burana', and the leads in artistic director Ronilo Jaynario's 'Beatles Revisited' and 'Ang Buhay', among various other neoclassical and contemporary work.

In 2012 Tiffany moved to New York City, where she has since been dancing with BalletNext and performing in ballets created for the company by Mauro Bigonzetti ('La Follia', 'Bachground'), Brian Reeder ('Picnic', 'Surmisable Units'), Peter Quanz, Katarzyna Kozielska, Tobin Eason, Alison Cook Beatty, and artistic director Michele Wiles.

Since moving to New York City she has also performed with Terra Firma Dance Theatre and been featured as a soloist in Stuart Loungway's ballets 'Stagioni' and 'Mockingbird'.
