Born in Madrid, Jesus Pastor commenced his illustrious career at the Victor Ullate school at the age of nine. He subsequently joined the Ullate company in 1992. In just four short years, he was promoted to Principal Dancer of the company.
In 1995, Jesus was awarded the Gold Medal at the Eurovision Competition for Young Dancers and was invited to perform as a guest artist at Maurice Bejart in the ballet Nomos Alpha alongside Sylvie Guillem.
In 1998, Jesus joined the Compañia Nacional de Danza under artistic director Nacho Duato and continued to tour nationally and internationally. He then joined the Scottish Ballet, where his sublime performances, elegant line, and handsome features earned several outstanding reviews in both Scottish and Irish media.
Jesus entered the English National Ballet in 2001 as a senior soloist. In 2003, he danced the lead role in the world tour of Matthew Bourne’s all-male Swan Lake. His powerful, yet graceful performance in this production earned Jesus a nomination for Best Dancer 2002 at the Prix Benois de la Danse in Moscow.
In 2003, Jesus joined the American Ballet Theatre as a soloist. His arrival and addition to the company were received enthusiastically. He danced the main roles of its repertoire for four years.
Jesus established his own company named “Human Dance Project” in his hometown in Spain.
