Eglė Andreikaitė

Egle Andreikaite began dancing in Vilnius, Lithuania at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre dance company “Polekis.” That was under the direction of former ballerina Elena Juodisiene, and working and performing with modern ballet choreographers Povilas Fokinas and Jurijus Smoriginas. 

At 16, she also started to work with contemporary dancers, choreographers Sigita Mikalauskaite, Birute Baneviciute, and Indre Pacesaite. She performed at their choreographed performances and theatre productions.

At the age of 17, Egle Andreikaite was performing at operas and ballets such as “Carmen” directed by Italian choreographer Gianni Santucci, “Marriage of Figaro directed by Spanish choreographer Nuria Castejon, and “Traviata,” “Aida,” “Elixir of Love,” etc.  Also ballets and operas for kids: “Bruknele,” “Gintariuko Nuotykiai,” “Cipolinas,” etc.

At the age of 19, she started to dance as a cheerleader for Lithuanian basketball team “Lietuvos rytas,” including the European Basketball Championship of 2011.  With Ukrainian cheerleading team “Red Foxes,” she danced at the European Basketball Championship of 2015 in France.

At 21 she moved to Spain, where she was accepted to study and dance at the performing arts conservatory ESAEM. There she was taking ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop, acting, and flamenco classes. She was working with Russian ballerina, principal dancer Valentina Letova with modern dance choreographers Francis Vinolo, Sara del Pino, hip-hop teachers Fidel Buika, and others.

In addition to dancing, Egle Andreikaite was modeling in Spain, and has signed a contract in New York with Wilhelmina agency. This is her first season with BalletNext.
